Indications of disk drive failure
When troubleshooting drive problems, first confirm that the drives are supported for use in the D6020. For more
information, see the D6020 QuickSpecs:
https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getdocument.aspx?docname=c05054941
In a D6020, a steadily glowing fault LED indicates that the drive has failed.
Other indications of failed disk drives:
• The HPE Smart Storage Administrator represents failed drives with a distinctive icon.
• HPE SIM can detect failed drives remotely across a network. (For more information about HPE SIM, see the
documentation.)
