jig

Align the printing engines as follows to make the rollers parallel:
a.
Place the V-section of the parallel jig on idler 9 of PE2 (Figure 36). Refer also to the
section General information on page 17.
b.
Place the gauged end of the jig on idler 3 of PE1.
c.
Move the jig along the length of the rollers (Figure 36).
Note the difference in the readings between the front and the rear.
If the readings differ by more than 0.02 mm, then adjust the u-base slip plate screws
shown in Figure 34 to correct the alignment.
d. Repeat
c until the difference between the front and rear readings is less than
0.01 mm.
e.
Check the level of each printing engine.
Readjust it, if necessary.
