NOTE:
The adjustment screws on the rear mounts of the stepping
plate assembly rollers move the rollers in the up/down
direction. The screws on the front mounts move the rollers in
the web feed direction (Figure 77).
The adjustment screws are locked with setscrews.

Reconfigure the parallel jig for the short configuration. Refer to the General
information on page 17.
Use the Parallel jig in order to measure the variation in distance between the two
stepping plate rollers as shown in Figure 77.
Mount the Parallel jig between the two rollers.
g.
Loosen the Allen M5 front and rear adjustment bracket locking screws (Figure 77).
h.
Adjust the Allen M5 front and rear adjustment screws and move the Parallel jig from
front to back to accurately align the roller (Figure 77).
Make sure that the rollers are aligned to an accuracy of 0.00 ± 0.01 mm.
If the difference between the readings is more than 0.00
±
0.01 mm, turn the
adjustment screw on the front mount of the roller to correct the alignment.
i.
Place a leveler on the roller and verify that the roller is level at the front and rear.
