NAS 4000s and 9000s Administration Guide
Modifying a User Password
Follow these steps to modify a user password:
1. In the Local Users dialog box, select the user whose password needs to be changed. Then,
click Set a Password.
The Set Password dialog box is displayed.
2. Enter the password and click OK. The Local Users dialog box is displayed again.
Modifying User Properties
To modify other user properties:
1. From the Local Users dialog box, select the user whose record needs to be modified.
Then, click Properties.
The General information page of the Properties dialog box is displayed.

2. The following information can be changed or set:
■
User name
■
Full name
■
Description
■
Home Directory
■
Disable this user account
■
Password expiration
3. After completing the changes, click OK. The Local Users dialog box is displayed again.
