This section describes how to set up the operating system and drivers including the
following:

Disabling infrared.
♦
Creating an OS/2 driver disk.
♦
Installing OS/2 Warp 4.0.
♦
Installing video support.
♦
Creating a video drivers disk.
♦
Installing sound support.
♦
Installing SCSI support.
To disable infrared
OS/2 Warp 4.0 does not support infrared communications. Disable the infrared port
on the OmniBook to free COM2 for your modem.
1. Restart the OmniBook.
2. Press F2 when prompted to enter the System Configuration Utility (SCU).
3. Choose COM Ports from the Input/Output menu.
4. Change the IR port to None.
5. Save and Exit the SCU.
To create OS/2 driver disks
You must install OS/2 drivers from the floppy disk drive. To create OS/2 OmniBook
2000/5700 driver disks do the following:
1. Copy the contents of \OMNIBOOK\DRIVERS\OS2\VIDEO to a blank floppy disk.
2. Type LABEL A: CTDISP 1. Label the Disk OS/2 OmniBook 2000/5700 Video
Driver Disk.
