2. Add DEVICE=DOCKBOOT.EXE /n to the beginning of the CONFIG.SYS
(where n = the number of the docked configuration).
Whenever you dock the OmniBook and reboot, the docking configuration is
chosen automatically. This driver is NOT necessary to dock the OmniBook. It is
used only with a multi-boot (booting options) configuration.
Questions for Windows NT or OS/2 Warp
There is no docking support in Windows NT or OS/2 Warp. When the operating
system boots, it allocates resources and initializes devices. This configuration is
essentially the same as for a desktop PC. Any ISA or PCI cards or SCSI devices
attached to the OmniBook Docking System are activated only when you restart your
OmniBook. Always shut down the operating system before docking or undocking
your OmniBook.
How do I successfully dock in Windows NT or OS/2 Warp?
When docking the OmniBook in Windows NT or OS/2 Warp, make sure the
OmniBook is off or the operating system is shut down. To shut down the operating
system, do the following:
1. Windows NT 4.0:
From the Start menu, click Shut Down.
2. Windows NT 3.51:
From Program Manager, Choose File, Shut Down.
3. OS/2 Warp:
Right-mouse click on the desktop , then choose Shut
Down.
How do I successfully undock in Windows NT or OS/2 Warp?
Do the following to undock in Windows NT or OS/2 Warp:
1. Shut down the operating system (see above).
2. Press the off button on the left side of the OmniBook.
3. Press the Undock button on the left side of the docking system.
