Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the hard drive:

Position the computer with the front toward you.

Loosen the two Phillips PM2.0×5.0 captive screws

that secure the hard drive cover to the
computer.

Lift the left side of the hard drive cover

, swing it to right, and remove the cover. The hard drive
cover is included in the Door/Cover Kit, spare part number 417073-001.

Remove the two black Phillips PM2.5×5.0 screws

that secure the hard drive to the computer.

Use the Mylar tab

to lift the hard drive
(3)
until it disconnects from the computer.

Remove the hard drive from the hard drive bay.

If it is necessary to replace the hard drive bracket, remove the four Phillips PM3.0×4.0 screws

that secure the hard drive bracket to the hard drive.
