Remove the system board:
1.
Position the computer upright with the front toward you.
2.
Disconnect the display cable (1) from the system board.
3.
Disconnect the battery connector cable from the system board (2).
4.
Remove the 2 Phillips PM2.5×4.0 screws (3) that secure the system board to the computer.
5.
Remove the Phillips PM2.5×4.0 screw (3) that secures the optical drive extension board to the
computer and the Phillips PM2.5×4.0 screw (3) that secures the hard drive extension board to
the computer.
6.
Lift the right side of the system board up at an angle (1).
7.
Pull the system board up and toward the right to remove it from the computer (2).
NOTE:
The power cable connects to a connector on the bottom of the system board. When
you remove the system board, the power cable will be removed from its routing path and remain
connected to the system board.
Reverse this procedure to install the system board.
