5 Completing system

configuration

Additional configuration tasks

The physical installation and basic configuration for the HP ProLiant

Storage Server is complete.
Additional configuration tasks that should be performed include:

Run Microsoft Update for new critical updates. See

Configuring

storage server for Web access (optional)

on page 41.

Join the storage server to an Active Directory domain.

Create and manage users and groups.

Adjust logging for system, application and security events.

Install additional third-party software, such as backup, anti-virus, or

monitoring agents.

Install the HP ProLiant Windows Storage Server 2003 R2

Localization DVD (optional). The Localization DVD contains

the Microsoft Windows Multilingual User Interface (MUI) pack.

The Windows MUI pack is a set of language-specific resource

files that can be added to the English version of Windows

Server 2003 R2. When installed on the English version of

Windows, the MUI allows the language of the operating

system user interface (not HP ProLiant files and interfaces) to

be changed according to the preferences of individual users.

Languages included on the DVD are French, German, Italian,

Spanish, Japanese, simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, and

Korean. Installation instructions are provided with the DVD. For

more information about the MUI, visit the Microsoft web site:
