Check the status using the power supply LEDs on the rear panel ("Rear
Panel LEDs and Buttons" on page 12).

Servers Troubleshooting Guide
for details on checking
power supply operation.
4. If the system does not complete POST or start loading an operating system,
refer to the
Servers Troubleshooting Guide
for information on general loose
connections.
5. If the server is rebooting repeatedly, the system may be experiencing a
problem that initiates an ASR-2 reboot.
Refer to the
Servers Troubleshooting Guide
for information on ASR-2 and
system short circuiting.
6. Restart the server.
7. Check the server for the following normal power-up sequence to be sure that
the system meets the minimal hardware requirements and is powered up
during normal operations:
a. The front panel system power LED turns from standby (amber) to on
(solid green).
b. The fans start up.
8. Check the monitor, if you have a monitor installed, for the following
messages that indicate the system meets the minimal hardware requirements
and is powered up during normal operations:

ProLiant logo

Memory test
−
ROM information
−
Copyright information
−
Processor initialization
−
Array controller initialization
−
SCSI devices
−
PXE initialization
