If more than one option is being installed, read the installation instructions for all
of the hardware options and identify similar steps to streamline the installation
process.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot
surfaces, allow the drives and the internal system components to
cool before touching them.
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to electric components,
properly ground the server before beginning any installation procedure.
Improper grounding can cause electrostatic discharge.
Processor Option
The server supports single- to quad-processor operation. With multiple
processors installed, the server supports boot functions through the processor
installed in processor socket 1. However, if processor 1 fails, the system
automatically boots from processor 2 and provides a processor failure message.
This boot process continues sequentially through all available processors.
