Spare part number

NOTE:

The docking connector board does not include the docking connector board cables. The docking

connector board cables are included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 742103-001. See 

Cable Kit

on page 21

 for more Cable Kit spare part information.

Before removing the docking connector board, follow these steps:

1.

Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and

then shut it down through the operating system.

2.

Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet.

3.

Disconnect all external devices from the tablet.

4.

Remove the back cover (see 

Back cover on page 36

).

5.

Remove the tablet battery (see 

Tablet battery on page 37

).

Remove the docking connector board:

1.

Disconnect the vibrator module cable 

(1)

 from the docking connector board.

2.

Release the system board ZIF connector 

(2)

 to which the longer docking connector board cable is

attached, and then disconnect the longer docking connector board cable from the system board.

3.

Detach the two pieces of grounding tape 

(3)

 that secure the shorter docking connector board cable to

the display assembly.

4.

Release the system board ZIF connector 

(4)

 to which the shorter docking connector board cable is

attached, and then disconnect the shorter docking connector board cable from the system board.

5.

Disconnect the Windows button board cable 

(5)

 from the docking connector board.

6.

Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws 

(6)

 that secure the docking connector board to the

display assembly.
