Removal and replacement procedures
This chapter provides removal and replacement procedures for Authorized Service Provider only parts.
CAUTION:
Components described in this chapter should only be accessed by an authorized service provider.
Accessing these parts can damage the tablet or void the warranty.

This tablet does not have user-replaceable parts. Only HP authorized service providers should
perform the removal and replacement procedures described here. Accessing the internal part could damage
the tablet or void the warranty.
Component replacement procedures
NOTE:
Details about your tablet, including model, serial number, product key, and length of warranty, are

NOTE:

There are as many as 44 screws that must be removed, replaced, and/or loosened when servicing Authorized
Service Provider only parts. Make special note of each screw size and location during removal
and replacement.

Before disassembling the tablet, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the tablet.
3.
Disconnect the power from the tablet by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the tablet.
Remove the display panel assembly:
1.
Position the tablet with the front toward you.
2.
Attach suction cups (1) to the display panel and back cover.
3.
Place the suction cup handles (2) to the closed position.
