Parameters
item-number
: Assigns an ID to the reaction entry, in the range of 1 to 10.
threshold-type
: Specifies a threshold type.
accumulate
accumulate-occurrences
: Checks the total number of probe failures. The value is in the
range of 1 to 15.
consecutive
consecutive-occurrences
: Checks the maximum number of consecutive probe failures.
The value is in the range of 1 to 16.
action-type
: Specifies what action to be triggered. The default action is
none
.
none
: Specifies the action of displaying results on the terminal display.
trap-only
: Specifies the action of displaying results on the terminal display and meanwhile sending
SNMP trap messages to the NMS. This keyword is not available for the DNS operation.
Usage guidelines
You cannot edit a reaction entry after it is created. To change the attributes in a reaction entry, use
the
undo reaction
command to delete the entry, and then configure a new one.
Examples
# Create reaction entry 1 for monitoring the probe failures in ICMP echo operation. Before the NQA
operation starts, the initial state of the reaction entry is invalid. If the total number of probe failures
reaches or exceeds 10, the state of the entry is set to over-threshold. If it is below the threshold, the
state of the entry is set to below-threshold. Once the state of the reaction entry changes, a trap
message is generated and sent to the NMS.
