CAUTION
At weight of 600 kg (1322 lbs) and rear C.G. position, when the
side rudder is fully deflected then rudder suction occurs. This
phenomenon decrease the rudder control force nevertheless the
sideslip can be controlled in the standard manner and does not
require special pilot skills.
Powerplant extended
CAUTION
Landing is permitted only with ignition OFF and in emergency
case.
With powerplant extended, the sailplane can be landed in the same
manner as in "clean" configuration (powerplant retracted).
Approach speed:
100 km/h (62 mph, 54 KIAS, mph) (without
waterballast)
115 km/h (72 mph, 62KIAS, mph) (with
waterballast)
On approach, however, it must be taken into account that the flight
performance has deteriorated due to the extended powerplant.
The reduced performance, however, requires significant more
altitude to conduct approaches with the same techniques as in
"clean" configuration.
WARNING
Be cautious when extending the airbrakes! Due to the
additional drag of the extended powerplant, more forward
stick must be applied for maintaining the above approach
speeds.
