Powerplant control system
Batteries
The whole system is supplied by three (optionally four) batteries.
Battery 2. located on the cabin floor under the instrument panel. It is
standard 12V/17-22Ah lead battery (size 181x76x167mm). This
battery supplies powerplant unit with accessories and it can be used
for supply of instruments too. The battery containment is covered by
the lid and is accessible after pressing the latch release.
Battery 1. (can be installed optionally) is used for all board
instruments except engine control unit.
It is placed ahead of rudder pedals. Battery 1 is standard 12V/12-
15Ah lead battery (size 150x97x93mm).
Two packs of Li-Ion batteries are located behind the pilot’s head
These supplies energy only to linear drive of extension mechanism
and engine starter.
Alternator charges battery 2. in powered flight only. Battery 1 and Li-
Ion batteries are not charged during the powered flight.
CAUTION
Ensure that batteries are charged fully before flight!
CAUTION
Discharged or disconnected battery 2
will result in engine system inoperability!
NOTE
It is preferred to use battery 1 for flight instruments to leave enough
power in battery 2 for later engine operation.
