Point Scaling 

Each point may be individually SCaled for correct decimal placement in Diag mode and prior to 
communicating the value on the BACnet side. 
 
Scaling types may be viewed in HyperTerminal by entering S to display the scaling table:

Scaling types may be assigned to a point either as a part of the Point Programming string as outlined in 
the previous point programming section or individually, after initial point configuration once the live data 
is seen and the scaling requirements are clear. 
 
To scale an individual point as being divided by 10 then a Scale type value of 

1

 must be assigned to 

that point, as referenced in the left-hand column of the table above. 
 
If after initial programming you discover that point 6 requires a decimal shift one place to the left (divide 
by 10) then using command SC enter as follows: 
 

SC6=1 

 
The SC prefix indicates that only the Scaling portion of point 6 is being configured.
