6.3. Cleaning
Please note:
Bear in mind the following when cleaning your riveting tool.
Incorrect cleaning agents or cleaning methods may damage the riveting tool.
Cleaning agents
Do not use fat-solvent or corrosive cleaning agents
or water.
Do not spray cleaning agents, solvents or fl ammable
substances into the openings in the housing.
The tube guiding the mandrel into in the collection
container should be cleaned daily (by blowing it out
carefully from the back with compressed air) to remove
debris and shavings.
Clean the battery contacts and the battery receptacle on the tool with a cloth, cotton
swab and alcohol as needed.
Remove the battery before working on the riveting tool.
Remove the nut (2) and pull it off.
Pull off the sleeve (3).
Be mindful of any compression springs used to increase contact
pressure.
Clean the interior of the sleeve thoroughly with a cloth.
