The hard drive shredder is designed for shred-
ding hard drives up to 3.5", CDs/DVDs, magnetic
tapes up to 3.5" and floppy disks.
2 Description
2.1 Proper use
2.2 Warranty
We provide a one year warranty for the hard
drive shredder. The warranty period is 6 months
when used in multiple shifts. This warranty
excludes wear, damage due to improper han-
dling, natural depreciation, and actions taken by
third parties. Our general business conditions
are applicable.
• The operator must ensure that only staff
who have been given special instructions on
any dangers have access to the shredder
system. Maintenance staff must be qualified
for the work to be carried out and have the
required expertise.
• Observe the local safety and accident pre-
vention regulations, including those for
environmental protection.
• Changes to the machine are strictly prohib-
ited. In particular, safety guards must not
be removed or disabled.
• Switch off the shredder, disconnect
the power plug and call customer
service in the following circumstances:
- Power cables or plugs are damaged.
- Liquid has entered the shredder.
- The machine does not work properly
despite the operating manual having
been observed.
- The shredder has been damaged.
2.3 Functional description
After starting up the machine and selecting the
kind of material, the material for shredding is
fed into the infeed slot and discharged into the
cutting unit when the slide is pulled. Specially-
hardened solid steel shafts shred the data
carriers. The shredded material falls into a waste
container, the fill level of which is monitored.
When the container is full, the machine shuts
down and informs the operator in the display
panel and status bar that the container needs to
be emptied.
The operator control panel can be used to adjust
settings and view operating values.
