– If the device needs to be repaired only genuine spare parts may be used! The
use of other components may result in serious personal injury and damage.
– When the mains plug of the device is inserted into a correctly mounted, 230
V, earthed socket (connect without load), the lighting of the seven segment
display signals the operational readiness of the device.
This product is designed for mounting on dry and clean walls. Make sure that this
pro duct is mounted on a stable surface.
The device is designed as a class 2 product. Please make sure that, if the
connected devices are not class 2 products, the PE is connected according to
VDE or applicable regulations.
malFuncTIOn
Only use the device if it is functioning without disturbance. If there is any mal-
function, switch off the device immediately and consult a specialist. The device
may only be reinstalled after it has been checked thoroughly. Signs of mal-
function are if:
– The device is visibly damaged.
– The device is malfunctioning.
– Attached cables or the housing has become loose.
Repairs may only be done by a qualified person or a specialist
using original components and parts. There is the danger of electrocution.
5 mOunTIng
The installation may only be done by a qualified person who has knowledge
of the current guidelines and regulations!
nOTe:
Please make sure that all electricity has been switched off before
starting the installation. Make sure only components are used which are either
in the packing or described in this manual. This is for your safety.
– This device may only be operated in enclosed, dry areas.
– The device is designed for permanent wall mounting. A properly installed 230
V socket must be located in the near vicinity of the temperature switch. The
device may only be installed by a competent person or a qualified electrician.
– If this device is installed to control a load that can cause a danger in the event
of malfunction, additional safety measures are required.
– Make sure that all devices are connected according to their instruction ma
-
nuals. Under certain circumstances the connection to another device (e.g.
pro tective conductor to ground) can cause extreme surges.
– Keep the device away from spray- or rainwater, dust and direct sunlight.
– When mounted in industrial facilities, the accident prevention regulations for
electrical systems and equipment of the professional associations must be
followed.
