Field
Description
NAT
Traversal(STU
N)
This parameter activates the NAT traversal mechanism.
When you enable it by selecting
Yes
, and a STUN
server is also specified, the phone will work according to
the STUN client specifications.
In this mode, the embedded STUN client detects if and
what type of NAT/Firewall configuration is used. If the
detected NAT is a Full Cone, Restricted Cone, or a Port-
Restricted Cone, the phone will use its mapped public
IP address and port in all of its SIP and SDP messages.
If you select
No
,
but send keep-alive
, the ET325 will
periodically (every 20 seconds) send a blank UDP
packet (with no payload data) to the SIP server to keep
the "hole" on the NAT open.
If the outbound proxy is used, this parameter should be
set to
No
.
SUBSCRIBE
for MWI
The default value is
No
. When it is set to
Yes
, a
SUBSCRIBE for the message waiting indicator will be
sent periodically.
Proxy-Require
An SIP extension to notify SIP server that the unit is
behind the NAT/Firewall.
Voice Mail User
ID
When this option is configured, the user can access
messages by pressing
MESSAGE
. This ID is usually
the VM portal access number.
Send DTMF
This parameter specifies the mechanism to transmit the
DTMF digit. Three modes can be supported: in audio,
which means DTMF is combined in audio signals (not
very reliable with low-bit-rate codec), through RTP
(RFC2833), or through SIP INFO. The default value is
in audio
.
Early Dial
The default value is
No
. Use only if the proxy supports
484 response. The phone will send every dialed number
and indicate 484 response (address is uncompleted) till
the digit string is sent out wholly and successfully.
Dial Plan Prefix Set the prefix added to each dialed number.
