5 Installing the Cabinet on an Underground Base
5.4 Filling Soil Back to the Foundation Pit

Do not use waste soil (such as soil containing gravels, construction wastes, or weeds) to back fill the pit. During the
backfilling, tramp down the soil. After the backfilling, ensure that the soil surface does not sink when a person of 80 kg
stands on it. Otherwise, the cabinet may easily fall down after it is installed on the underground base .

When you tramp down the back filled soil, ensure that the tramp-down tool does not touch the surface of the underground
base. If the surface paint of the underground base is scratched, repair the paint. For details, see the Appendix
"How to Repair the Paint".
NOTICE
Pipe
•
After the underground base is buried, it rises above the ground for 300 mm.
•
The number and installation positions of pipes in the figure are for reference only and may
vary with the site conditions.
Tramp down the back filled soil every 200–300 mm until the back filled soil inside the underground base is
level with the ground or slightly above the ground and the back filled soil outside the underground base is
20–50 mm above the ground.
