7.3 Overload Emergency Operations
Prerequisites
An overload alarm is generated.
Procedure
Step 1
Locate the cable or device based on the alarm information.
Step 2
Check the overloaded cable or device and locate the fault.
If the cable or device is seriously overloaded, immediately power off the device and its lower-level
devices.

Follow-up Procedure
Analyze the cause of the fault, and work out and record the preventive measures.
7.4 Emergency Operations for Battery Electrolyte Leakage
Prerequisites
The battery electrolyte leaks.
Procedure
Step 1
Switch off the circuit breaker inside the BCB for the battery string where the electrolyte
leakage occurs.
Ignore the alarm generated after the circuit breaker is switched off.
Step 2
Replace the battery that leaks electrolyte. For details, see
Before the replacement, get ready protective gloves and the tool used to clean the electrolyte.
Step 3
After replacing the battery and cleaning the leaked electrolyte, verify that the battery is
properly connected in the UPS5000-E system.
Step 4
Perform a power-on check on the batteries by following instructions in the "Checking Before
Power-On" section in the commissioning guide, and switch on the corresponding circuit
breaker in the BCB.
