may be corrupted.
Using Your HiLink dongle
Different operating systems (OS) may have different processes for connecting to the Mobile
Broadband network. The following sections are based on Windows XP, as an example.
Connect to the Network
1.
If it is the first time to use the HiLink dongle, plug the HiLink dongle into the USB port of
your PC directly.
2.
Then, the OS will detect and recognize the device and start the installation automatically.
The first installation will take up to 60 seconds.
3.
After the installation is finished, the HiLink dongle will connect to the Mobile Broadband
network automatically and a web page will open.
Note:
If you cannot access the network normally, find the AutoRun.exe file in the driver path.
Then double-click AutoRun.exe to run the program.
When you cannot access the network, please access the URL (http://192.168.1.1) to
check the device status. If the URL (http://192.168.1.1) cannot be opened, please
disconnect other devices connected to the network, such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet cable, and
then insert the HiLink dongle again, or restart the PC.
Disconnect from the Network
To disconnect from the Mobile Broadband network, just remove the HiLink dongle from
the PC directly.
Note:
If you are not connecting to the internet, please disconnect your dongle.
Settings – Accessing the Web User Interface (UI)
User should never need to change the settings and that this is for advanced users only.
To change the settings of your HiLink dongle, please access the URL (http://192.168.1.1)
via your web browser. This will take you to the HiLink Web User Interface (UI).
From the Home page of the HiLink Web UI you can access the key features & settings for:
Statistics, Messages, Updates and Settings.
From the Home page of the HiLink Web UI you can also download the SMS Messaging
Client, which is a small PC software application that notifies you when SMS messages
