About NFC
NFC (Near Field Communication) lets you make fast, secure payments with your device and
also allows convenient file sharing with other devices.
NFC-enabled devices support the following three modes:

Card emulation
: Emulate contactless smart cards.
l
Read/write
: Scan NFC tags (in order to top up your transport card for example).
l
Peer-to-peer
: Transfer files between two NFC-enabled devices.

Using NFC to make payments
NFC lets you use your device to make contactless payments in shops or on public transport.
Using a SIM card to make payments
Before you can use the NFC feature, you must first request an NFC-enabled SIM card from
your carrier.

, select your carrier's payment app and follow the onscreen
instructions to add a bank card and add credit.
To make payments, place your device against an NFC sensor at a payment terminal.
You can also make payments when your device is switched off. To do this, first ensure

is enabled before you switch off your device.
Using HCE to make payments
Use your device as a virtual bank card to make secure, contactless payments in stores and
online.
Before using this feature, download your bank's mobile app and follow the onscreen
instructions to add your card. For more details, contact your bank.
