Chapter 4 Installation Checking
4.1 About This Chapter
This chapter describes the check items after installing the antenna and feeder system,
including:

Checking Antenna & Feeder System of Mini NodeB
z
Checking Antenna & Feeder System of GPS
Note:
The antenna and feeder system installation should be performed in strict compliance with the project
requirements and technological specifications. Check each installation when it is completed so as to
solve any problem as early as possible. Do not leave anything to the final hardware installation checking.

The feeders should be arranged neatly and nicely.

In accordance with the standard requirements, the feeder & jumper labels should be
attached neatly and nicely and oriented in the same direction.

The feeders should not be broken or twisted. No copper skin should be exposed.

The bending radius of feeder should be no less than 20 times longer than the feeder
diameter.

The installed feeder fixing clips should be spaced evenly and oriented in the same
direction.

The feeders should keep straight for at least 0.5m at the places inside and outside the
entry to the equipment room, and for 0.3m on the both sides of the lightning protection
frame.
Checking the
feeder

The feeders should not cross each other. They should be arranged in neat and straight
row & column at the entry to the equipment room. The degree of their bending should be
identical.
