1.6 Battery Safety
Basic Requirements
Before operating batteries, carefully read the safety precautions for battery
handling and master the correct battery connection methods.
D ANGER
● Do not expose batteries at high temperatures or around heat-generating
sources, such as high-temperature sunlight, fires, transformers, and heaters.
Battery overheating caused by external heat sources may cause vent opening,
leakage, fire, or explosions.
● Do not burn batteries. Otherwise, the batteries may catch fire or explode.
● To avoid leakage, overheating, fire, or explosions, do not disassemble, alter, or
damage batteries, for example, insert sundries into batteries, squeeze batteries,
or immerse batteries in water or other liquids.
● To avoid leakage, overheating, fire, or explosions, do not short-circuit batteries.
● Protect battery modules from mechanical vibration, collision, punctures, and
strong impact. Otherwise, the battery modules may catch fire.
