3.3.2 Securing the Top Air-flow Cabinets Used for a Multi-
Cabinet UPS
Prerequisites

● A dual-cabinet UPS can be installed against a wall, but a four-cabinet UPS
cannot be installed against a wall.
● If the UPS is to be installed against a wall, combine the top air-flow cabinets
with the UPS and move them to the installation position. If the antiseismic kit
is configured, secure it to the UPS first.
● If the UPS is to be installed on channel steel, the channel steel for installing the
top air-flow cabinets should be prepared. You need to add only one piece of
channel steel for the top air-flow cabinets apart from the channel steel for the
UPS cabinets. The top air-flow cabinets do not need to be secured to the
channel steel. Take a 400 kVA UPS as an example. The distance of the top air-
flow cabinet channel steel and the distance of the UPS cabinet channel steel
are shown in the figure.
