2.1.4.2 Unpacking the Wooden Case
Wooden cases are used to pack heavy goods such as racks, cabinets and batteries. Cabinet
packaging consists of wooden panels, steel edges, tongues, and foam plates. If possible, move
the wooden case into or near the equipment room and then unpack the cabinet to avoid
damaging the cabinet during transportation.
Prerequisites
NOTICE
l
When carrying the cabinet, always hold on to a more durable part of the cabinet, such as
the support or the rack. Do not exert force on the more fragile parts, such as the cable
support or the cable fixing beam. Doing so may damage the cabinet or cause an injury.
Remove the backing blocks from the rack only after the cabinet is carried to the
installation site to avoid damaging signal cables and boards during transportation.
l
Correctly orient the wooden case. Do not place the wooden case upside-down. Doing so
may severely damage the device.
Procedure
Step 1
Put on protective gloves.
Step 2
Place the wooden case on the ground. Make sure that the case is level and the pallet side faces
downwards.
Step 3
Insert one end of the spanner into the hole of the tongue on the cover of the wooden case. Lift
the spanner to straighten the tongue, as shown in
. (You can also use a screwdriver
or a claw hammer to straighten the tongue.)
