Follow-up Procedure

Verify the following:

Boards and subcards are installed in the correct position and captive screws are tightly
fastened.

Filler panels are inserted into vacant slots. Filler panels prevent intrusion of dust and
ensure heat dissipation.

2.3.5 Installing Chassis Components

Air filters are used to protect devices against dust, and cable racks are used to route optical
fibers and cables.

Procedure

Install air filters on the air intake frame.

NOTE

Orient the pin on the air filter towards the hole to prevent installing upside down. Otherwise, the
air filter cannot be installed.
