DC Power Supply Recommendations
Recommendations for DC power supply are as follows:
l
Adopt dispersed power supply mode. Use multiple DC power supply systems and set
power equipment in multiple positions.
l
Adopt the standard DC power supply system and set the output voltage of the
communications equipment within the required range.
l
Improve the reliability of the AC power supply system, and reduce the capacity of
storage batteries. For small offices, if it is difficult to enhance the reliability of the AC
power supply system, increase the capacity of storage batteries.
l
The total capacity of the high-frequency switch rectifier must satisfy the power
requirements for the communication loading and battery charging. Configure the backup
rectifier modules. If there are 10 or fewer active modules, configure one backup module.
If there are more than 10 active modules, configure one backup module for every 10
active modules.
l
Install storage batteries in two or more groups. Capacity is determined by the duration
when the storage batteries supply power to the load. Batteries in most offices should be
able to supply power for at least one hour.
AC Power Supply Requirements
An AC power supply that consists of mains, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), and an
independently acquired electric generator set is suitable for integrated power supply. In
addition to meeting server load requirements, AC power supply has features such as simple
connection line, safe operation, flexible scheduling, and easy maintenance.
A low voltage power supply should adopt three-phase five-wire mode or monophase three-
wire mode. Low AC power supply voltages are 110 V/127 V/220 V/380 V, with a frequency
of 50 Hz.
