1.2.4 Power Supply System
This section describes the power supply system architecture, power supply area partitioning,
and DC/AC power system of the USG9560.
1.2.4.1 Features and Distributed Architecture of the Power Supply System
This section describes the power supply mode and power supply area partitioning of the
USG9560.
The USG9560 supports either DC and AC power supplies (but not at the same time).

If DC power supply is used, connect the DC power cables to the PEM input terminals.
l
If AC power supply is used, use two suitable external AC-DC convertors. The number of
rectifier modules on the AC-DC convertors depends on the system power consumption.
The AC-DC convertor converts AC power to DC power and supplies DC power to the
PEMs.
, the USG9560 backplane is divided into two areas, each with two
power inputs. These four power inputs work in backup mode.
