Inserting an FPIC into the LPU
Step 7
Connect the cables to the corresponding interfaces in the original sequence.
Step 8
Log in to the device and run the
power on slotslot-id
command to power on the LPU
backplane whose FPIC has been replaced.
Step 9
Check the running status of the new FPIC.
Check the running status of the new FPIC in the following ways:
l
Check the STATUS indicator on the panel of the FPIC. If it is on (green), the FPIC is
working normally.
l
Check the alarms. If the system does not generate any alarm related to the new FPIC, the
new FPIC is working normally.
l
Run the
display device
command on the console interface. If the LPUs in the
corresponding slots are working normally, the following is displayed:
