Follow-up Procedure
After replacing the fan module, collect all tools. If the replaced fan module is faulty, fill in the
and send the faulty module with the Repair Transmission Sheet
to the equipment supplier or the specified repair service provider.
3.3.3 Replacing the Fan Module of the USG9520
This section describes the precedure for replacing the fan module of the USG9520.
Context
Before replacing a fan module, note the following:
l
You must spend not more than five minutes to replace a fan module. Otherwise, the
security and stability of the device is severely affected.
l
During the process of pulling out the old fan module, first pull out part of the fan
module. After the fans stop rotating, pull out the fan module completely.
l
The USG9520 has one fan module. The fan module is located at the rear of the chassis.

The method for replacing a fan module in the USG9520 chassis that is configured with a DC power
supply module is the same as the method for replacing a fan module in a chassis that is configured with
an AC power supply module.
