Procedure
Step 1
Check the location of the power module to be replaced.
Before pulling out a power module that is to be replaced, check its location, that is, the
cabinet and chassis where the power module resides, and label the power module.
Step 2
Switch off the corresponding air circuit breaker on the power distribution cabinet. This
switches off the power module to be replaced. In addition, switch off the power module to be
replaced.
Step 3
Put on the ESD wrist strap and connect the grounding terminal to the ESD jack on the rack.
Step 4
Remove the cables from the power module to be replaced, as shown in
(1).
Step 5
Using the Phillips screwdriver, loosen the captive screws on both sides of the power module,
as shown in
(2).
Step 6
Turn the ejector levers on the panel of the power module outward and upward. When the
ejector levers and the panel form a 45-degree angle, the power module is removed from the
backplane, as shown in
Step 7
Holding both sides of the power module, pull the power module out of the chassis, as shown
