3.5 Replacing a CF Card
This section describes the procedure for replacing a CF card.
3.5.1 Replacing CF Card 1
This section describes the procedure for replacing CF card 1.
Context
Before replacing CF card 1, note the following:
l
CF card 1 lies on the circuit board of the MPU/SRU. Pull out the MPU/SRU before
replacing CF card 1.
l
The contents on the new CF card must be consistent with the contents on CF card 1.
Tool
Before replacing CF card 1, you need the following tools:
l
ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves
l
ESD bag
Procedure
Step 1
Check the location of the CF card to be replaced.
Before pulling out the CF card that is to be replaced, check the location of the CF card, that is,
the cabinet and chassis where the CF card resides. Then, locate the MPU/SRU whose CF card
is to be replaced and label the MPU/SRU.
Step 2
Check whether the MPU/SRU whose CF card is to be replaced is the active MPU/SRU.
Look at the ACT indicator on the MPU/SRU to check whether the MPU/SRU is the active.
The MPU/SRU whose ACT indicator is the active. The MPU/SRU who ACT indicator is off
is the standby.
Step 3
If the MPU/SRU whose the CF card is to be replaced is the active, run the following
commands to perform the active/standby switchover:
