3.8 Replacing Cables

This section describes the precaution and procedure for replacing the power cable, network
cable, trunk cable, and optical cable.

3.8.1 Replacing a Power Cable

This section describes the procedure for replacing a power cable.

Context

Before replacing a power cable, note the following:

Ensure that service data is backed up before replacing a power cable.

Before operating the device, make sure to cut off all input power supplies to the power
distribution cabinet, and label the switch to be used.

The DC power cable terminals and other exposed surfaces must be fully insulated.

Tool

Before replacing a power cable, you need the following tools:

Power module terminal

Power cable

ESD wrist strap

Phillips screwdriver

Procedure

Step 1

Record the location of both ends of the power cable to be replaced and the cabling mode.
