General notes on scootering:
The „HUDORA Big Wheel“ scooter makes short work of distances. Simply open it up, jump on and glide away. Whether
for children or adults: Nobody will fi nd it diffi cult to take a ride on this scooter.
However, all beginnings are diffi cult ...
... most accidents happen to „beginners“ in the fi rst ten minutes. In this phase you should be extremely careful.
Before the start:
Use the scooter only on suitable surfaces, which should be smooth, clean and dry.
Always watch out for other people. For your own safety, make sure you wear suitable protective clothing. Never go
without elbow protection and knee protection, as well as helmet.
Before you start: Check all connector elements and/or close-off parts for secure seating, such as e.g. the folding
mechanism and the height adjustment of the handlebar.
Riding technique
The scooter is driven through regular push impetus from the foot. Just the same as with well-known children‘s scooters.
Thanks to a new streamlined construction, the scooter is easy to steer. Inline wheels with precision bearings glide along
effortlessly.
The wide, robust and anti-slip footboard makes it easy to keep balance.
Braking is also problem-free: Simply kick down the back-pedaling brake (protective plate).
Nevertheless: Avoid sloping ground.
The scooter is not a vehicle as specifi ed by road traffi c regulations! It is suitable for riding on sidewalks. It is intended
for riders who are older than 7 years. The scooter can be adjusted to different heights through loosening the handlebar
adjustment setting. You must not carry out any changes which could impair safety on your scooter. The self-locking effect
of self-securing nuts and/or varnish can be reduced following repeated loosening and tightening up of the connector
elements. Regular care, maintenance and control checks increase the safety and the service life of your scooter. The
maximum loading is 100 kg. The scooter is a toy and should be used with caution, since riding the scooter requires a

high level of skill. The scooter is not suitable for jumps.
Wheel change
Replacement wheels are available as accessories. To change the rollers, loosen the axle screws with two Allen keys, and
remove the roller from the axle. You can push the ball bearings out of the wheel with a screw driver or Allen key and use
them in the new roller. However, it is usually advisable to change the bearings together with the roller. Insert the bearings
with the spacer back in the new roller and assemble with the axle screws on the frame. Pay attention that the axle is
screwed tightly before starting again!
Bearings
Your scooter is equipped with precision bearings, which were fi lled with lubricating grease under high pressure during
manufacture. For this reason, the wheels run freely and fast only in case of loading the scooter. The bearings are
maintenance free. If a bearing should fail, it should be replaced completely. Bearings are available as accessories. The
scooter can be folded up simply for space-saving safekeeping or transport.
Tips: Where can scooter be ridden safely?
On paths and sidewalks, on free schoolyards outside of school
time, on empty parking lots outside of business hours and of
course indoors, in malls and halls.
In fact, you can scooter anywhere where no other persons are
bothered or endangered.
