Windows-based UMOD M&C software
The Windows-based UMOD M&C software runs in Microsoft
Windows, a graphical user interface (GUI). Windows applications
are much easier to use than a CLI because the operator uses a
mouse to select descriptive terms instead of hard-to-remember
mnemonic codes. Once the user has selected a command, the
UMOD M&C software translates that command into the
appropriate terminal command understood by the Universal
Modem.
For example, to set the transmit modulation (TM) command for
BPSK operation in the UMOD M&C software, the user would use
the mouse to select the UMOD Configuration menu (see
figure 3-18 on page 3–34), click on the Modulation Type
pull-down menu button (showing QPSK), and select BPSK.
