HugMy.pet ThePaw
What do the various indicator lights mean?
ThePaw is able to cleverly tell you what’s going on, so keep this handy table in mind:
Paw lights whilst charging up:
Light colour
Function
4 white paw lights
Switching on
Blue and red paw lights flashing together, once per second
ThePaw is charging.
Red light constantly on, whilst blue light slowly flashes
ThePaw is fully charged.
Normal operation once charged and switched on:
Light colour
Function
Slow flash
Fast flash
Blue paw light
GPS indicator
Searching
Found
Red paw light
Mobile signal indicator
Searching
Found
The above means that when ThePaw is switched on you will see occasionally flashes of the blue and red
paw lights. The frequency at which they flash is dependent on how often you have the device set to report
your pet’s location. This can range from every 30 seconds, through 10 and 60 minutes.
The table above shows that when you see both lights flash on and off very quickly, both GPS
and mobile
signal (GMS) have been found. A quick flash of the red light indicates the mobile signal has been found,
whilst a quick flash of the blue light shows the satellite (GPS) signal has been found.
It’s quite normal that indoors the red light may flash quickly, whilst the blue light displays only a slow flash.
This is because your roof may well prevent a satellite signal from being picked up. Once outside, both lights
will flash quickly as both phone and satellite signals are acquired.
Night time operation:
Light colour
Function
4 paw lights with rolling colours (green, white, red, blue)
Helps locate your pet at night
You’ll only see this night light effect if you have the option switched on under the
Sensor lights
option in
Settings
. We recommend keeping this function switched off to conserve power, but if your pet has gone
missing, just use the app interface to switch night location lights on.
