9.2 Adjusting the fixation points.
Adjusting the height of the fixation points:
- 1. Drive your wheelchair in to the Pendel
- 2. Put the handbrakes on the wheelchair.
- 3. Loosen the knob (C) so the fixation point can be moved.
- 4. Adjust the height of the fixation point to the wheelchair wheel.
- 5. Tighten the knob so the height is set.
Adjusting the depth of the Fixation points:
- 1. First lift the Pendel up so the ramp will come up and close.
- 2. Loosen up the bold (D) so the fixation point can be moved horizontally.
-
3. Adjust the fixation points until they hit the wheelchair’s tyre.
- 4. Tighten the Bolt (D) a bit.
- 5. Now lower the Pendel so the ramp goes down.
- 6. Now loosen up Bolt (D) again and move the fixation point for aprox. 6 mm out.
- 7. Now tighten bolt (D) firmly
- 8. Lift up the Pendel so the ramp will close again.
- 9. Check if the tyres of the wheelchair are squeezed a little between the ramp and the
fixation point. If that is so, the fixation is set properly.
Make sure fixation point is not blocking the handbrakes of the
wheelchair and vice versa. Keep always a bit distance between both
parts.
Before adjusting the fixation points, check the tire pressure of the
manual wheelchair. If the tires are too soft, the wheelchair is not
properly fixated. This can cause dangerous situations whilst driving.
