11.7 The brakes:
The functionality of the brakes should be tested before every drive. If one of the brakes
should not work properly, please contact your authorized huka dealer to have it checked.
Do not use the Pendel if the brakes are not working properly.
11.8 The drive motor and compressor.
The drive motor and drive chain should be checked every 6 months. This is to be done by
your authorized huka dealer only. They will check the brushes and chain tension.
The compressor has a condenser within the system. This condenser needs to be cleaned
and emptied every 3 months.
11.9 Cleaning of the body work.
The polyester body panels are easy to clean with some soft soap and some water. Don’t
use a high pressure water hose. Using a high pressure water hose or gun put water in to
places where it is not allowed to go.
You can use some car wax on the body panels to make shiny and to give it an additional
protection film again dirt.
11.10 Batteries
The batteries are maintenance free. Should they be replaced, contact your authorized
huka dealer. They only can replace the batteries. Since the batteries are chemical waist,
your dealer also knows the right way to dispose the used batteries.
Don’t drive with bad brakes. Contact your authorized huka dealer for
repair. Only use original huka brake parts for repair. The repair should
only be done by authorized personnel.
Checking the drive motor, brushes, chain tension and compressor is
only to be done by staff of a authorized huka dealer.
Do not use a high pressure water hose or water gun to clean the
Pendel. This will damage part en clears grease out of rotation points.
Also water can enter electric system by using high pressure water
hoses or water guns.
Don’t spray any water into the cooling fan of the motor. This could
damage this cooling fan.
Batteries are chemical waist and need to be disposed according to the
local requirements. Contact your authorized dealer for replacing the
batteries. They know how to handle it.
