6. Operation
Inserting the batteries
First you must remove the battery cover from underneath the laser. When the
battery cover has been removed, you have access to the battery housing. 4 C
batteries are used for the Multiline laser. Alkaline batteries are recommended
for optimum operating time.
Functions
The Multiline laser can be used by itself on the floor or on normal tripods.
•
Switch on the laser by releasing the locking lever
(operates vertical beam)
• The display is
green
when the device is within the self-adjusting range. If
the display is
red
the device must be re-positioned on a more level surface.
The laser beam also
flashes
if the device is not horizontal.
•
The Multiline laser has three function switches

Horizontal mode
Press the H button once:
1 laser beam
Press the H button twice:
4 laser beams (360°)
Press the H button three times:
laser beams off
Vertical mode
Press the V button once:
1 laser beam
Press the V button twice:
2 laser beams
Press the V button three times:
4 laser beams
Press the V button four times:
laser beams off
Plus mode
This button allows the Multiline laser to be used outdoors with the optional
detector.
