7. Menu function settings
In standby, press the »MENU« key to access the main menu. The display will show the
first menu option »LCD CONTRAST«. Press the
-UP or
-DOWN buttons to naviga
-
te through the menu options:
ENTER TIME/DATE
STORE NUMBER
NAME RECORDING
RECORD
MESSAGE
CHECK MESSAGE
LCD LANGUAGE
VOICE
SET FLASH
TIME
SET DIAL MODE
PAIR NEW PENDANT
LOCAL AREA CODE.
When the display shows one of the menu options, press the »OK/DIAL« key to enter the
further settings of the option.
When navigating in submenu settings, press the »DEL« key to return to the higher menu
level or press the »CID/ESC« key to exit the menu as such.
After entering or modifying a menu setting, if 30 seconds pass without any button inter
-
action, the phone will return to the standby mode.
7.1. LCD contrast setting
Enter the menu by pressing the »MENU« key. The display shows »LCD CONTRAST«.
Press the »OK/DIAL« key to enter the display’s contrast settings. The default contrast
setting is 3.
If desired, you can press the
-UP or
-DOWN buttons to modify the contrast level
from 1 to 5. Press the »OK/DIAL« key to confirm the setting.
7.2. Area code setting
Enter the menu by pressing the »MENU« key and navigate to »LOCAL AREA CODE«
.
Press the »OK/DIAL« key to enter the area code setting.

« is blinking above »AREA CODE«. Enter the area code with the nu

meric keys (5 digits maximum). Please note: An error can be corrected with the »DEL«
-key. Press the »OK/DIAL« key to confirm. After 30 seconds, the telephone returns to
the standby mode.
If a call comes from a local address, with the same area code as your own, when vie
-
wing the caller ID number, the area code number at the beginning of the caller’s phone
number will be hidden.
Example:
Let us assume the local area code number is 12345.
If the phone number of an incoming call is »12345 67890« , the display shows only
»67890«
as
»12345« is automatically hidden.
