15. Battery life
The typical operating life of 10 years is reached under the following con-
ditions:
The smoke detector has to be commissioned at the latest one year
after production. Twelve function tests may be made per year and a full
alarm of 90 seconds can be carried out.
One start-up and two range tests can be carried out during the entire
service life and one line test can be carried out per year.
The battery is inbuilt and cannot be removed without damaging
the smoke detector. A forceful entry to the device voids all war-
ranty claims.
Please make sure that the batteries are not exposed to
excessive heat from such as sunlight, fire or anything similar.
If exposed to excessive heat, batteries may explode.
