11.5.6. When I insert my flash card, why does Victor sometimes say
"Disk bad"?
Try removing the card and re-inserting it several times. If the card has
worked before, it may be in an invalid internal state and re-inserting the card
will reset the communication with the device. If the card has never worked on
the Victor before but works in other devices, please contact VisuAide with the
model and part number of the card so we can do further testing.

11.5.7. How do I write-protect the SD flash card?
SD cards have a small tab on the lower right edge which you can slide up and
down. When the tab is in the up position, the SD card is write protected which
means it is protected from recording. If you wish to record on the card or
copy files to it from your PC, this tab must be in the down position.
Note also, that if you protect the card then the Menu Memory Management
options such as Record Quick Notes to Card, Record Card Label, and Backup
cannot be selected. If the SD card is protected and you select these Menu
options, Victor Reader will issue the error, "Card is write-protected".

11.5.8. Are SDIO cards supported?
Not yet. Currently VisuAide support MMC and SD memory cards. Even though
the SDIO is similar to the SD, it does not respond to the same command set.
Visuaide may include support for SDIO cards in the future.

11.5.9. Why is there a delay after the start-up welcome message?
Each time Victor is powered on the internal memory must be initialized before
it can be used for recording. Rather than adding this initialization delay after
the first time you press the Record key, it has been included in the start-up
process.
