Air Purifier Maintenance

FILTER

To change the Filter and reset the Filter Life Counter: 
 

1. First, turn off and unplug the Air Purifier.

 

2. Next, remove the Front Grill. Place your fingers under the handle on the 

Grill and pull forward, then up. Refer to Figs. 4 and 5 (pg. 6).

 

3. Gently pull on the Filter to remove it from the unit. While removing the 

Filter, note the directional arrows printed on the top of the Filter. The 

new Filter will be installed with the same orientation. Refer to Fig. 10. 

Once removed, the used Filter can be discarded.

 

4. Look at the directional arrows printed on the side of the Filter. Install the 

Filter with arrows pointing towards the unit. Refer to Fig. 10. Press the 

Filter firmly into the Air Purifier. To avoid damaging the Filter media, you 

should press on the frame of the Filter only. NOTE: THIS UNIT WILL 

NOT OPERATE UNLESS FILTER IS INSTALLED CORRECTLY AND 

SEATED PROPERLY.

 

5. Place the Front Grill back onto the unit. First, line up the tab on the bottom 

of the Grill with the recess on the purifier base and then push the top of 

the Grill forward until it is closed. Refer to Figs. 6 and 7, pg. 7. NOTE: 

This unit will not operate unless the Grill is in the correct position.  

 

6. Plug in the unit.

 

7. To reset the counter to zero hours and turn off the indicator, simply press 

and hold the Filter Reset key for three seconds. Then, you must release 

the Filter Reset key and then press and hold the Filter Reset key again 

for three seconds to turn off the Filter Indicator.

Changing the UVC Lamp

When the UVC Lamp exceeds 8000 hours (approximately 1 year of use), the UVC 

Lamp Indicator will turn on as a reminder that you should replace the UVC Lamp to 

maintain airborne pathogen reduction capability. If necessary, the UVC Lamp can 

be changed more often. Refer to Obtaining Replacement UVC Lamps (pg. 16) if you 

need help finding replacement UVC Lamps.

Change the UVC Lamp

 

  • after 8000 hours (approximately 1 year) of use, or

 

  • every other time you replace the HEPAtech

®

 Filter, or

 

  • every time you replace the Pre-Filter 

To change the UVC Lamp: 
 

1. First, turn off and unplug the Air Purifier.

 

2. Next, remove the Front Grill. Place your fingers under the handle on the 

Grill and pull forward, then up. Refer to Figs. 4 and 5 (pg. 6).

 

3. Gently pull on the Filter to remove it from the unit. While removing the

will be reinstalled with the same orientation. Refer to Fig. 10. 

 

4. Remove the two Lamp Cover Screws. Refer to Fig. 11.
