GETTING STARTED

Thank you for purchasing Hunter Douglas Cadence

®

Soft Vertical Blinds. With proper installation,

operation, and care, your new blind will provide years of beauty and performance. Please
thoroughly review this instruction booklet and enclosed packing list before beginning the
installation.

Remove headrail, louvers, and DualFold

valance from the package. Do not discard any of

the packaging material until the blind operates to your satisfaction.

Contents of your hardware package may vary depending upon whether the headrail is
mounted inside or outside the window frame.

Mounting Types and Window Terminology

If the installation brackets are mounted correctly, the rest of the installation process follows very
easily. To prepare for this important fi rst step, review the mounting types and basic window
terminology illustrated below.

Installation Components Needed

Check the packaging to be sure you have all the
components needed to install your blind.

IMPORTANT:

For outside mount valance installations,

the short valance hanger, see “Optional Components”
on page 4, count will be the same as the headrail
installation brackets.
