- Never spray the device with water or subject it to
water.
- To clean, never use cleansers or solvents. This
can cause irreparable damage to the device. The
plastic parts can be eaten away by the chemicals.

Changing the blades

- Loosen the closure screw (4) and fold out
the hopper.

- Insert a suitable object (Allen key etc.) as
shown and hold it in the hole (14).
- Loosen the screws (15) with the Allen key.
- Turn or replace the blade (16).
- Install in the reverse order.
Note:
Blades can also be sharpened. How-ever,
this should be done by a professional since
both blades must maintain the same
weight in order to maintain the proper
balance. An imbalance of the blades can
cause damage and injuries.
Storage
WARNING!

Make sure that unauthorized persons do not
have access to the device!
Allow the device and to cool off completely
in storage.
Store the device in a dry place.
Transport
Secure the device against slipping.
When shipping, use the original packaging
if possible.

Often only small faults cause a malfunction. You can
usually easily remedy such faults yourself. Please
consult the following table before contacting your local
OBI store. This saves effort and possibly also costs.

reset button.

Locking lever in bottom position?
Change locking lever to top position.
Material to be chipped is not pulled in. Material blockage?
Remove all chipped pieces from the
blades.
Are the blades blocked?
Remove all chipped pieces and press
reset button.
Are the blades worn?
Replace the blades if necessary.
If you are unable to remedy the fault yourself, please contact
your local store. Please note that the improper performance
of repair work will lead to the loss of any warranty claims and
that additional costs may be incurred.
Through separate disposal you send old equipment for
recycling or for other forms of re-use. You will thus help
to avoid in some cases that damaging material gets into
the environment.
