8.11 Centrifugal clutch
8.11.1 To disassemble the clutch
1. Pull up the knob and remove the shaft.
2. Remove the 4 screws. Remove the clutch drum
assembly.
3. Put a piston stop in the spark plug hole to prevent
movement of the piston.
4. Remove the 2 screws that hold the centrifugal
clutch. Remove the clutch. Remove the flat washers
that are behind the clutch shoes.
8.11.2 To clean and examine the clutch
1. Remove the clutch parts and examine for damage.
2. Examine the spring and outer edge for wear and
damage. The thickness of the outer edge must be
minimum 1.0 mm at the most worn point.
3. Replace damaged parts.
